Discover Volunteer Journals
Want to know what it’s like being a volunteer? Get it straight from the horse’s mouth with our volunteer online journals. Volunteers deployed across the globe will be updating directly from the field, telling you what life is like on site, what work is being done, and what to look out for – all in a multimedia phantasmagoria of photos, videos, and journal entries.

Become a Frontier Ambassador
The Frontier Ambassador scheme is your chance to stay involved with the project you contributed towards as a volunteer. Becoming a Frontier Ambassador is all about inspiring the next generation of volunteers to get out there and make a difference; so much of the good work done by projects couldn’t happen without the valuable support of volunteers. Not only will you be helping to raise awareness for volunteering, but the great part is the scheme gives you the opportunity to earn credits towards your next Frontier adventure as you do so.

Join other volunteers
If you’re taking part in one of Frontier’s group project, take a look at Frontier Official on Facebook and join the events for the time you’ll be away on project. Use the events to connect with other volunteers and field staff who will be on your project, share planning advice, ask questions and get answers.

Explore Project News
Find out what’s going on with the latest updates from camp for all our group projects. Filled with news straight from the field you’ll also find the best of our volunteers’ awe-inspiring photography and videos. Learn more about the research behind the projects with the latest posts from SEE.

Learn with Science Club
Updated daily from London HQ, Science Club brings you the hottest stories in conservation news. Follow world debated topics such the illegal ivory trade, read some about some crazy science antics, and learn about the issues affecting your projects.

Write an online journal
If you’re planning on keeping a record of your experience when away, why not feature on our Into the Wild blog? We’re looking for volunteers to update from the field, giving an insight into what life as a volunteer is truly like! Whether you’d like to update with photos, writing, or video, we’re open to what and how much you update your journal. Alternatively, if you’re already planning on keeping a blog of your own we’re happy to reproduce the content with links back to your original site. For more information email with the subject: ‘“your name” online journal’.

Contribute to our blog
Into the Wild blog features the best of Frontier where we feature volunteering and travel advice and inspiration, interviews with explorers at the top of their field, volunteers, and staff, as well as the latest science and international development news. Whether you’re looking to get yourself published and would like to contribute to our Opinions feature, or are looking to set up a guest blog, get in touch with for more information and to pitch an idea.
